Built For Calling.
Ebed-Melech University is a Christian, fully online university founded to unite scholarship, spiritual formation, leadership, and service. We prepare learners to rise with purpose and to use education as a tool for Kingdom impact in ministry, business, education, technology, counseling, wellness, and community leadership.
Why EMU Exists.
EMU was founded to create a university where faith, scholarship, innovation, and service are fully connected.
A university born from purpose.
Founded in 2023, Ebed-Melech University was established to expand access to Christian higher education for learners seeking preparation not only for careers, but for calling. EMU serves students who want academic depth, spiritual growth, and meaningful preparation for leadership in faith-based and service-oriented contexts.
Education that speaks to the whole person.
Our model integrates academic study, practical application, ethical reflection, and spiritual formation. Through fully online learning, students are able to pursue university study while remaining rooted in work, family, ministry, and community.
The University takes its name from Ebed-Melech the Ethiopian, whose courage and compassion are remembered in Jeremiah 38–39.
When Jeremiah was left in a cistern, Ebed-Melech chose action over silence. He used his position to protect life, advance what was right, and intervene with wisdom and courage.
That witness remains central to our identity. EMU believes education should produce graduates who lift others, lead with integrity, and apply knowledge in ways that serve both faith and society.
What Sets EMU Apart.
EMU’s strength is not just in what we teach, but in the way faith, learning, service, and formation are intentionally brought together.

Christian perspective is woven into the educational experience rather than added as an afterthought.
