FAITH FOR THE JOURNEY.
A global space for Scripture, prayer, reflection, encouragement, spiritual formation, and Kingdom-centered conversation.
Some moments happen together. Others are available whenever you need them. Spiritual formation should travel with you wherever learning, work, ministry, family, and calling take you.
“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.”
FORMATION THAT TRAVELS WITH YOU.
EMU serves students across countries, professions, ministries, families, and time zones. Spiritual formation should not depend on everyone being available at exactly the same hour each week.
Chapel & Spiritual Formation brings together Scripture, audio messages, ministry teaching, prayer, Christian observances, seasonal reflection, and community.
As EMU grows, live gatherings can be added intentionally and announced through the Lion Calendar and University community when confirmed.

President Roxanne Kemp is developing a dedicated teaching channel for short-form spiritual and leadership content.
The channel will continue to grow with audio sermonettes, messages, biblical reflections, teaching insights, encouragement, and thoughts on calling, leadership, purpose, and returning.
This gives students another way to engage spiritual formation in short, accessible moments throughout the week.
Rev. Dr. Kahla D. LaPlante
Chief Chaplain & Dean of Spiritual FormationDr. LaPlante provides spiritual formation leadership and chaplaincy oversight for the EMU community. Her role supports the University’s developing work in prayer, pastoral care, discipleship, mentoring, faith integration, and spiritual wellness.
As EMU’s spiritual-life community grows, the Office of Spiritual Formation provides leadership for developing meaningful opportunities for students to gather, reflect, pray, and connect faith with their academic journey.
Ministry Teaching From Dr. KahlaDr. LaPlante’s sermons and broader ministry teaching are published through Blessed R Thee Ministry. Students who would like additional teaching from Dr. Kahla can continue directly to her ministry’s YouTube channel.
Blessed R Thee Ministry is Dr. Kahla’s ministry platform and the appropriate destination for her broader sermons, teachings, and ministry messages.
FAITH ALSO HAPPENS BETWEEN THE EVENTS.
Spiritual formation happens when someone prays with you, shares Scripture, encourages you, listens, or reminds you that you remain part of a larger community.
EMU Discord gives Lions a place to stay connected between scheduled University experiences and across countries and time zones.
RETURN TO WHAT CENTERS YOU.
Listen when you need a word. Pray when you need strength. Reflect when you need direction. Gather when the community comes together. Keep Christ connected to the work of learning, serving, leading, healing, and becoming.
