Standard academic tuition is billed monthly during active enrollment. The flat-rate model provides students with predictable monthly costs while they progress through their approved academic plan.

How does EMU’s flat-rate tuition work?
Standard academic tuition is billed monthly while a student is actively enrolled. Undergraduate tuition is $150 per month, graduate tuition is $175 per month, and doctoral tuition is $200 per month.
How much is one 16-week semester?
A standard 16-week semester is approximately four months. Undergraduate tuition is $600, graduate tuition is $700, and doctoral tuition is $800 for that period.
Is the $200 application fee included in tuition?
No. The $200 academic application fee is a separate, one-time fee and is not included in monthly tuition.
Does EMU still charge tuition by the credit hour?
Standard degree enrollment uses the flat-rate monthly tuition model. Per-credit enrollment may be approved for limited circumstances such as completion of a small number of remaining credits or approved non-degree study.
Does tuition change if I progress faster or slower?
Tuition is based on active enrollment rather than the number of standard credits attempted each month. Students may progress at a different academic pace when approved, but billing continues while they remain actively enrolled under their applicable plan.
Are practitioner certifications included in degree tuition?
No. EMU’s professional practitioner certifications use a separate certification fee structure. The standard program fee is $1,895 per practitioner certification.
What is the annual practitioner certification fee?
The annual practitioner active-status fee is $150. Practitioners who also hold active trainer status are subject to the applicable trainer fee.
Can I make payments on a practitioner certification?
Eligible practitioner students may begin with the required deposit and make additional payments before their program begins. Full payment is required before course access is released.
Does EMU offer scholarships?
Scholarship and tuition-support opportunities may be available based on eligibility, review, institutional approval, and available funding. Apply for an EMU Scholarship.
Does EMU participate in federal student financial aid?
EMU does not currently participate in U.S. federal student-aid programs. Students may explore EMU scholarship opportunities, employer assistance, ministry support, private funding, and other eligible sources.
What happens to tuition if I withdraw?
Academic withdrawal does not automatically cancel an existing financial obligation. Refund eligibility, when applicable, is determined according to the payment agreement, withdrawal date, course or material access, and any program-specific terms.
Where do I make my tuition payment?
Current students may make approved tuition payments through the University’s Tuition Payment Portal.

Practitioner certifications are professional faith-based credentials and do not constitute state licensure for regulated clinical or healthcare professions.
