Kevin Kemp provides executive oversight of the University’s day-to-day operations, working across vice presidents, deans, faculty, staff, finance, technology, and institutional systems to keep EMU aligned, supported, and moving forward.

The President & Chancellor establishes the University’s long-term strategic, spiritual, and institutional direction. The Office of Operations helps translate that direction into the systems, workflows, financial practices, academic coordination, and operational accountability required for the University to function effectively.
Kevin works directly with vice presidents, deans, faculty, administrators, and staff to support execution across academic divisions and university operations. The goal is not bureaucracy for its own sake; it is to create the structure that allows faculty to teach, students to learn, leaders to lead, and EMU’s Great Commission mission to move forward with excellence.

Systems That Support Mission.
The Office of Operations works across administrative and academic functions to create coordinated execution, responsible stewardship, and reliable systems for a fully online university.
Executive Coordination
Coordinating priorities, workflows, leadership execution, and institutional operations across vice presidents, deans, faculty, and administrative teams.
Financial Stewardship
Supporting budgets, payment processes, financial controls, contracts, vendor relationships, and responsible use of University resources.
Digital Infrastructure
Overseeing and supporting technology-enabled operations, learning systems, platform coordination, cybersecurity, and scalable digital workflows.
Institutional Performance
Strengthening reporting, operational standards, quality processes, institutional readiness, and continuous improvement across EMU.

Kevin Kemp, M.S., serves as Co-Founder, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Financial Officer of Ebed-Melech University. He provides executive leadership for the University’s day-to-day operations and works across the leadership structure to translate institutional vision into organized, accountable execution.
His responsibilities span operational planning, financial stewardship, technology infrastructure, institutional systems, vendor and platform coordination, process improvement, and institutional effectiveness. He works closely with vice presidents, deans, faculty, and administrative personnel to ensure that academic and operational divisions are supported and aligned with EMU’s faith-based mission.
Kevin’s academic foundation is in technology. He earned both an associate degree and bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Parker University, followed by a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University.
He is currently in the final dissertation stage of a Ph.D. in Business Data Analytics at Capitol Technology University, reflecting his continuing focus on the intersection of data, technology, decision-making, organizational performance, and business strategy.
Kevin is also pursuing an MBA at the University of Houston–Clear Lake, further strengthening his preparation in finance, management, business strategy, and organizational leadership.
In addition to his executive work, Kevin has served as a professor and subject-matter expert for colleges, universities, and organizations. His teaching and curriculum work spans technology, cybersecurity, data science, cloud technologies, information systems, and related emerging fields.
He has contributed to course design, curriculum development, and workforce-aligned academic content, bringing technical subject expertise together with practical instructional design and real-world application. This academic work informs the way he approaches EMU’s technology systems, curriculum operations, faculty support, and institutional infrastructure.
As Co-Founder, Kevin’s role is grounded in stewardship. His focus is ensuring that the University’s mission is supported by the financial, technological, academic, and operational discipline required for responsible long-term growth.

Kevin is a lifelong sports enthusiast with a particular love for basketball. His athletic background includes MVP recognition during his college basketball years, and he has remained involved in local basketball as both a player and coach.
Fitness remains an important part of his personal discipline. The habits developed through sports—preparation, consistency, teamwork, resilience, accountability, and competitive focus—also influence his approach to leadership and operations.
