Kevin Kemp, M.S., B.S., PhD ABD
Executive Biography
Kevin Kemp serves as Co-Founder, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Financial Officer of Ebed-Melech University. He provides executive leadership for the University’s operational systems, financial stewardship, technology infrastructure, contracts, payment processes, and institutional-effectiveness practices in support of EMU’s mission and sustainable growth.
In this role, Mr. Kemp oversees operational planning, budget monitoring, financial controls, vendor and platform coordination, institutional reporting, and technology-enabled workflows. He works in close alignment with the President & Chancellor and executive leadership team to translate institutional vision into organized, accountable execution.
Mr. Kemp brings a strong foundation in technology and higher education. He has served as a professor and subject-matter expert across multiple colleges and universities, contributing to undergraduate and graduate-level instruction in areas including cybersecurity, data science, cloud technologies, and emerging technology fields.
His experience includes digital-learning operations, learning-management systems, workforce-aligned program development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and Amazon Web Services. He applies this expertise to help maintain secure, scalable, student-centered systems that support EMU faculty, students, and institutional partners.
Mr. Kemp holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer and Information Sciences. He is also an MBA student and has completed all doctoral requirements in Business Analytics except the dissertation. He plans to resume and complete the dissertation at a future time.
As Co-Founder, Mr. Kemp helps ensure that Ebed-Melech University grows with financial responsibility, operational strength, measurable effectiveness, and faithful commitment to its mission.
