EMU’s self-paced model removes unnecessary calendar pressure without removing academic identity. Fall, Spring, and Summer remain real institutional seasons for records, advising, student life, reflection, ceremonies, and planning.

EMU recognizes degree completion throughout the year and maintains a predictable commencement rhythm for Fall, Spring, and Summer graduates. Ceremonies are scheduled on Saturdays at 12:00 PM U.S. Central Time, allowing our global community to plan well in advance.

Completion of the reading plan alone does not make someone a theologian.
