Ebed-Melech University · Scholarship Consideration

Your Calling Deserves A Chance.

Financial circumstances should not automatically end a student’s educational journey. Through the generosity of the Ebed-Melech Foundation, donors, partners, and supporters, EMU is able to consider eligible students for limited scholarship and tuition-support opportunities.

Donor-Supported Opportunity

Help A Lion Rise.

Scholarship funding is made possible in part through charitable support connected with the Ebed-Melech Foundation and other generous supporters who believe education can strengthen students, families, ministries, and communities.

Because these resources are limited, applicants are encouraged to complete all required steps as early as possible.

Scholarship Applicants

Don’t Stop At The Scholarship Form.

Scholarship Consideration Is Separate From Admission

Some prospective students complete a scholarship request before applying to Ebed-Melech University. You may submit the scholarship form first, but a scholarship application does not create an admissions application and does not admit you to EMU.

To be considered for admission and to allow EMU to fully evaluate a scholarship request, prospective students should also complete the University’s admissions application and submit the required $200 non-refundable application fee.

Completing your admissions requirements early helps prevent delays if scholarship funding becomes available.

How Funding Works

Generosity Creates Opportunity.

EMU scholarship and tuition-support resources are limited. A significant portion of available assistance is made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, partners, and charitable support associated with the Ebed-Melech Foundation.

Because available funding can change throughout the academic year, completed eligible applications are generally considered in the order in which the required file becomes complete, while funds remain available.

A scholarship application does not guarantee an award. Donor gifts may also carry eligibility restrictions or may be designated for particular educational purposes, student populations, programs, or areas of service.

Awards may provide partial or greater tuition support depending on the funding available and the terms of the award. Unless an award specifically states otherwise, scholarship assistance is applied toward eligible tuition rather than distributed as cash to the student.

Scholarship FAQ

Before You Submit.

Do I need to apply to EMU before requesting a scholarship?

You may submit a scholarship request before your admissions application, but scholarship consideration does not replace admission. New students are strongly encouraged to complete the EMU admissions application and $200 application fee as soon as possible so their academic eligibility can be reviewed.

Does a scholarship application guarantee admission?

No. Admission and scholarship consideration are separate decisions. Applicants must meet the applicable admission requirements for their intended program.

Does applying guarantee that I will receive a scholarship?

No. Scholarship funding is limited and awards depend on eligibility, completed documentation, donor and Foundation resources, applicable restrictions, and institutional review.

Is scholarship funding first come, first served?

Funding is generally reviewed on a first-completed, first-considered basis while funds remain available. Eligibility and donor restrictions still apply, so earlier submission does not guarantee an award.

Where does scholarship funding come from?

Scholarship and tuition-support resources may be supported through the Ebed-Melech Foundation, individual donors, sponsors, ministry partners, institutional resources, and other charitable supporters.

Is the $200 application fee covered by a scholarship?

The standard $200 academic application fee is separate from tuition and is required for applicants seeking admission, including applicants requesting scholarship consideration, unless EMU provides a specific written exception.

How is a scholarship applied?

Scholarship awards are normally applied to eligible tuition charges according to the written award terms. Awards are not normally converted to cash payments to the student.

Can scholarship amounts change?

Yes. Scholarship availability and amounts may vary based on donor funding, eligibility, enrollment status, academic standing, award duration, and applicable program terms.

Does EMU participate in federal financial aid?

EMU does not currently participate in U.S. federal student-aid programs. Scholarship assistance described here is institutional, donor, partner, private, or Foundation-supported assistance.
